ABOUT ME |
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern on the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) track. I hold an Alcohol and Drug Counselor – Temporary (ADC-T) license, specializing in treating individuals with substance use disorders. My passion lies in supporting clients through a culturally sensitive and compassionate approach, emphasizing the unique needs of East African and Muslim communities. I utilize evidence-based interventions, blending Adlerian principles with trauma-informed care, to help clients navigate challenges and achieve personal growth. I enjoy reading books on psychology and Islamic studies, as well as engaging in community workshops to raise awareness about mental health and substance use. In my free time, I like to binge watch comedy shows, as well as going to the gym.
